The Sales Manager will be responsible for leading and managing a team of sales representatives to achieve sales targets and drive business growth. They will develop and implement strategic sales plans, monitor performance metrics, and identify opportunities for improvement. The Sales Manager will also build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with marketing and product development teams to ensure alignment with customer needs. This role requires a dynamic and results-driven individual with excellent leadership and communication skills.

Tasks


  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans: Analyze market trends, identify target customers, and set achievable sales goals for the team and individual territories.
  • Lead and motivate a sales team: Coach, mentor, and inspire your team to achieve their full potential. Develop and implement sales training programs to enhance their skills and knowledge. The sales manager is responsible for establishing sales teams for B2B and B2C and leading them.
  • Build and manage strong customer relationships: Develop and maintain positive relationships with key clients and identify new business opportunities. Negotiate contracts and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain sales pipeline: Proactively prospect for new leads, qualify leads, and convert them into paying customers. Manage all aspects of the sales cycle from initial contact to closing the deal. Would also need to establish the whole sales system and metrics.
  • Oversee sales forecasting and reporting: Develop accurate sales forecasts and track team performance against goals. Generate reports to provide insights into sales trends and performance.
  • Travel: Domestic travel may be required.
Requirements
  • The ideal candidate for the Sales Manager position will have a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
  • They should have at least 5 years of experience in sales management, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as the ability to analyze sales data and market trends to make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and a deep understanding of sales techniques and strategies are also required.
  • A strong understanding of Marine Industry market trends and customer needs.
  • Direct sales management experience at an industry exhibition.
